Abstract:
[Purpose] Farmland is essential for global food production, and soil salinization represents a significant form of land degradation. Accurate monitoring of soil salinization is crucial for the protection of agricultural land, and provide valuable insights for agricultural production and ecological management aimed at improving saline-alkali soils.[Method] This paper conducted a comprehensive literature review to assess the current status, methodologies, and advancements in soil salinization monitoring, both domestically and internationally in recent years.[Result] (1)In this article, recent research achievements in soil salinization monitoring based on multi-source remote sensing data were presented, addressing current hot topics. Sources of error and factors affecting monitoring accuracy were also discussed. (2)Based on existing research, the article summarized the challenges encountered in soil salinization inversion, including limitations in remote sensing data quality, applicability of different monitoring models, and accuracy issues in salinity feature extraction. (3)Additionally,it analyzed the key issues currently faced in the field of soil salinization monitoring, such as difficulties in data acquisition, insufficient model generalization ability, and the complexity of environmental factors.[Conclusion] Research and applications in soil salinization monitoring have reached a relatively advanced stage. Future efforts should focus on integrating cutting-edge technologies, including multi-source data, improved model transferability, and interdisciplinary methodologies,to enable more precise and comprehensive monitoring, thereby providing robust data and technical support for effective management strategies.
