Abstract: |
[Purpose]Against the backdrop of the flourishing digital economy, agricultural information services play a pivotal role in advancing agricultural modernization and rural revitalization. However, a significant mismatch between supply and demand has emerged within the current service structure. This study aims to reveal the structural causes of this imbalance and propose targeted optimization strategies. [Method]Using a combination of literature analysis and critical qualitative reasoning, the paper first outlines the technological evolution and supply-demand dynamics of agricultural information services. [Result]It then identifies key manifestations of imbalance, including mismatches in content, target groups, technical adaptability, and regional disparities. The analysis points to systemic-policy fragmentation, insufficient supply-side incentives, unclear demand-side articulation, and technical-infrastructural barriers as core issues. [Conclusion]In response, the paper proposes five optimization pathways: enhancing institutional support, improving service precision and diversity, strengthening farmers’ digital competencies, promoting technological integration and platform interoperability, and exploring sustainable business models. The findings suggest a paradigm shift toward a collaborative, farmer-centered governance model to build a more balanced and effective agricultural information service system, thereby supporting the broader goals of digital rural development. |
