Abstract: |
The main methods used in crop growth monitoring and yield prediction in China Agricultural Remote Sensing Monitoring System(CHARMS)are meteorological models, remote sensing models or statistical models at present, the research and application using crop biophysical model to predict crop yield are relatively weak in CHARMS. So, this paper introduced the advanced biophysical model BioMA and the feasibility analysis of applica- tion in China's agriculture monitoring. Firstly, this paper introduced the method mainly used in crop monitoring in China and the background and purpose of the development of BioMA. And then, the technical framework and char- acteristics of BIOMA as well as some supporting interface tools were introduced. Finally, taking WARM model, which is a main model in BioMA, as an example, the feasibility of application in agricultural remote sensing moni- toring in China, from the aspects of data preparation, model comprehensive utilization as well as the models tools, were also discussed. |
