Abstract: |
This paper explored the women migrant workers' willingness of settling in cities from the perspective of intergenerational comparison in order to provide a scientific reference to increase labor transfer and population's citizenry of the mountainous area. By investigating the age, degree of culture and marital status of female migrant workers in Chengdu, the binary Logistic regression model was constructed and analyzed. The results showed that the new generation of women migrant workers had higher city settlement willingness than the elders. The women having children under 6 had negative effects on city settlement willingness, but positive effects on old generation. With the higher education level, the trend of willingness to stay in cities increased more obviously, because they were more likely to settle in city with higher confidence of living in cities. |
